About Me

Lenka Rodanicova (*1977) - Slovak born, living and working in Prague, Czech Republic. Since I discovered pencils and paints as a child, art became an integral part of my life. I was amazed by shading that pencil can do to express the form. I have been developing my skills via various drawing and painting lessons. Other than that, I am in the main self-taught. In my art, I focus on complexity, combining craftsmanship with artistic perception. My work style is classic realistic oil painting with portraits, figures and still life that can be used to express metaphor and symbolism. My current engagement with painting, was preceded by career in business. After study of economics at the university, I worked over a decade for multinational company in procurement.
